Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 2 apples (preferably sweet varieties such as Golden or Fuji)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Powdered sugar to decorate (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C if fan-operated) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Spread the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. With the help of a round cutter or a glass, cut puff pastry circles of the desired size for the tartlets. Place the puff pastry circles on the prepared baking sheet.
- Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices. Place the apple slices in a bowl and mix them with the brown sugar and cinnamon powder until well coated.
- Place several apple slices in the center of each puff pastry circle, leaving a free edge around it. Slightly fold the edges of the puff pastry inward, creating a sort of rustic border around the apples.
- Brush the apples and edges of the puff pastry with the melted butter. This will help the tartlets take on a nice golden color during baking.
- Bake the tartlets in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and crispy, and the apples are tender.
- Remove from the oven and let the tartlets cool slightly. If you wish, you can sprinkle a little icing sugar on top to decorate.
And that’s it! Now you can enjoy these delicious apple puff pastry tartlets. They are perfect to accompany with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a little whipped cream. Enjoy!
