Italian donuts: a simple recipe that will surprise everyone!

Ingredients

2 EGGS
180 ml MILK
10g fresh yeast
500g ALL-PERFORMANCE FLOUR
60g BUTTER
30g SUGAR
1 teaspoon Salt
OIL
SUGAR
Instructions

Beat eggs, milk and yeast in a small bowl.

Step 1
In another bowl, add the flour, sugar and salt. Add the butter to the flour with your fingers.
Step 2
Add the wet ingredients to the flour mixture and mix well with your hands until the mixture is no longer lumpy.
Step 3
Form the dough into a large ball and put it in a clean container. Cover the top with plastic wrap. Let the dough rest for 2 hours, until its volume has doubled.
Step 4
Transfer the dough to the workbench and divide it into 9 pieces.
Step 5
Roll the dough into a long, thin sausage. Then twist the ends around each other.
Step 6
Place the twisted donuts on a baking tray dusted with flour.
Step 7
Bake the donuts at 30°C/86°F (yes, that’s the right temperature!) for 1 hour.
Step 8
Heat enough oil over medium-high heat for frying. Fry the donuts until golden brown on both sides.
Step 9
After frying, brush with sugar.
