You invited your friends to the table, but you don’t know what cake to serve them with? Try the walnut and jam cake. It is so appetizing that all the guests will want to taste it…
Ingredients for the top:
- 500 gr wheat flour, 250 gr butter
- 20 g of yeast, 200 ml of milk
- 3 spoons of sugar, 1 egg
- 2 egg yolks
Ingredients for the filling:
- 250 grams of sugar
- 250 gr of ground walnuts, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- Favorite jam
Ingredients for the topping:
- 100 g of chocolate
- 3 tablespoons hot water
- 150 grams of sugar
Method of preparation:
Shred the yeast and put it in a bowl. Pour 50 ml of warm milk over it and add 1 tablespoon of sugar. Mix well to dissolve. Leave the yeast aside for 10 minutes to rise.
Sift the flour into a deep bowl. Add the raised yeast, the butter, the egg, the yolk, the rest of the sugar and the rest of the milk. Knead the dough and divide it into 4. Stretch each piece of dough so that it fits in a rectangular tray (20 x 30 cm).
To prepare the filling, mix the nuts with the 2 types of sugar.
Place a baking paper on the bottom of the tray. Add the first dough to the pan. Spread a layer of jam over the dough and sprinkle a third of the filling on top. Add the second dough, a layer of jam and half of the remaining filling.
Cover with the third dough. Smear it with jam and pour the rest of the filling on top. At the end, add the last top. Leave the cake aside for at least an hour, then put it in the oven and bake it at 175 degrees until it turns golden.
Break the chocolate into pieces and pour over it the 3 tablespoons of hot water and 150 gr of sugar. Stir well. After the cake is baked, take it out of the pan and pour the chocolate topping on top.
Let the cake cool down, then cut it into small slices and serve it with your loved ones.
