RECIPE FOR RAVIOLI WITH TOMATO SAUCE AND GROUND BEEF

Ingredients:  For the sauce:  2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 onion, finely chopped, 2 cloves garlic, minced, 500 g ground beef, 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes or fresh tomatoes, peeled and chopped, 1 teaspoon of sugar (optional, to reduce acidity), 1 teaspoon of dried basil, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano, Salt and pepper to taste, Fresh basil leaves to decorate (optional).  For the ravioli:  Fresh or frozen ravioli (you can use meat, cheese or spinach ravioli).

Preparation:  Preparation of the Sauce:  In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until golden. Add the ground beef and cook until well browned and cooked through. Add crushed tomatoes or chopped fresh tomatoes. Add sugar, dried basil, oregano, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and let the sauce boil. Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little water. Preparation of the Ravioli:  Cook the ravioli according to package instructions in boiling salted water. If they are fresh, they cook faster than frozen ones. When the ravioli are cooked, drain them and place them in a large bowl. Assembly:  Pour the tomato sauce and ground beef over the cooked ravioli. Mix gently so that the ravioli are well covered with the sauce. Serve the ravioli on individual plates and decorate with fresh basil leaves, if desired. Enjoy your ravioli with tomato sauce and ground beef! This dish is perfect for a comforting and delicious dinner. You can accompany it with grated cheese and a little bread to dip in the sauce. Enjoy!
