Today I offer you the recipe for Liège waffles, waffles that are melt-in-the-mouth and crispy to perfection.
Ingredients
- 375 gr of flour
- 135 ml of milk
- 35 g of fresh yeast
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 200 gr of butter
- 250 gr of pearl sugar (150 gr will be enough)
Preparation
- In a saucepan, heat the milk and the butter cut into pieces until the butter is melted. To book.
- In a salad bowl or in the bowl of the mixer, put the dry ingredients namely; flour, salt, vanilla sugar and mix briefly then make a well and pour in the beaten eggs and the crumbled yeast diluted in a little lukewarm milk run the mixer at speed 1 and start to knead while adding the milk-butter mixture melted warm for 5 minutes the dough is smooth but sticks to the fingers, this is completely normal.
- Incorporate the pearl sugar into the dough then mix everything together delicately.
- Cover the dough with a cloth and leave to rest for 30 minutes, away from drafts.
- Preheat the waffle iron then take balls of dough directly from the bowl, place them in the waffle iron and let your waffles cook for 3 to 4 minutes until they are golden brown.
