How to grow lettuce from leftover lettuce?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. First, remove the largest outer leaves from the head of lettuce. Next, remove the bottom of the head of lettuce with a knife and make a clean cut about 3 cm from the bottom.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. You have now obtained the base of the lettuce heads. Leave the leaves aside to make a delicious salad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. You just need to take a bowl, a glass or a salad bowl to contain the entire bottom of the lettuce.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Pour the necessary amount of water into the container so that the base of the lettuce is submerged by about a centimeter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Put the bottom part of the head of lettuce, which you normally consider wasted, in a bowl of water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Place the   container <\/strong>  in the house near the window. Therefore, it will be exposed to light, but not direct sunlight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Write the start date of the \u201cexperiment\u201d on the glass or bowl and remember to change the water once a day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    When and how to transfer lettuce to pots or soil?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    After 15 days you can already see that the head is well developed. The first root will form and, more importantly, the first leaf will form in the center of the lettuce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You need to remove the outer leaves without damaging the roots. Then you can transplant lettuce into a regular round pot filled with a humus-peat mixture. Dig about two inches deep, then fill the pot with soil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After transferring   to the jar  , sprinkle a large amount over the lettuce immediately. If possible, enrich the soil with natural fertilizers. Expose the lettuce to the sun so that it grows little by little. Growing lettuce in pots on the balcony will be easy, and you can even invite your children to the experiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
