A lady once told me that sugar is to an orchid like an antibiotic to a human.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you use it correctly, the orchid will thrive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is sugar good for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tojenapad.dobrenoviny.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/sugar-485046_1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-214961\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">on withered plants,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">on plants that you have accidentally damaged during handling,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">on plants that haven&#8217;t bloomed for a long time,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">in older plants that lack energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tojenapad.dobrenoviny.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/orchid-4068853_1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-184164\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can you do that?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I used this treatment on my sister&#8217;s orchid, which almost had to be thrown away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I dissolved 1 teaspoon of sugar in a liter of water and immersed the orchid in this bath and let it soak for about 8-9 hours (they say you can leave it for a whole day).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Then I soaked them in strong water<\/strong>&nbsp;for another hour&nbsp;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I took them out of the water, I put them in their usual place and immediately noticed that their leaves were fuller and the flowers had also increased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next day she looked much better and was gradually making a full recovery &#8211; a miracle for my sister, just sugar for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This is what my orchid looks like. My sister&#8217;s purple orchid has even sprouted the most buds since she got it home!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tojenapad.dobrenoviny.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/orchidea.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-166378\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>So don&#8217;t forget<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Try helping a damaged or wilted orchid by bathing it in a sugar solution made from one teaspoon of sugar to one quart of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then place it in lukewarm water for another hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That&#8217;s it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More tricks with sugar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">One spoon for each pot<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tojenapad.dobrenoviny.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/orchid-g71d42818a_1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-205755\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Almost all flowering houseplants love sweets (including flowering cacti) &#8211; of course not in large quantities, but a little sugar in the water can stimulate and invigorate them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can simply add sugar before watering &#8211; 1\/2 teaspoon per pot at least 10 cm in diameter (just sprinkle on the soil), or you can make a frosting. \u00bd teaspoon sugar per 250 ml water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use as a simulant once a month in the period before flowering (when the plant begins to form buds).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kills nematodes in the garden<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tojenapad.dobrenoviny.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/garden-g1c8bb438e_1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-243902\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the plants in your garden look unhealthy and have nodules on their roots, they have probably fallen victim to a nematode infestation. These tiny worms attack the roots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can prevent infestation by inconspicuous pests if you provide them with an inhospitable environment made of sugar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Distribute about 2 kilograms of sugar per 25 square meters of garden area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sugar-storing microorganisms increase the proportion of organic matter in the soil<\/strong>&nbsp;and displace dangerous invaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gardener and florist in one person<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tojenapad.dobrenoviny.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/garden-decoration-g8f7224285_1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-207985\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are your flowers wilting and you don&#8217;t know what to do about it? Take a closer look at the roots. The problem could be the nematodes that attack them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Try adding sugar to the soil to<\/strong>&nbsp;encourage the activity of beneficial bacteria and microorganisms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These provide a maximally hostile environment for other nematodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sugar should be added to the water along with vinegar from time to time during normal watering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About two tablespoons of sugar and two tablespoons of vinegar per half a liter of water provide&nbsp;<strong>additional nutrition<\/strong>&nbsp;for the flowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And to keep them as beautiful not only in the garden but also in the vase, add sugar and vinegar to keep them fresh longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quickly clean greasy, dirty hands<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tojenapad.dobrenoviny.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/sugar-485045_1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-215647\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You have a lot of grease, dirt or paint on your hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can easily and thoroughly clean your dirty hands by placing a smaller&nbsp;<strong>dose<\/strong>&nbsp;of granulated sugar in your palms and adding an equal amount of olive oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then peel your hands gently and carefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, wipe them carefully and dry them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sugar crystals are abrasive and help remove oil, grease, paint and dirt. Your hands will be clean, soft and supple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sugar + yeast = the magical combination for every garden<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tojenapad.dobrenoviny.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/dro%C5%BEdie.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-116194\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mosquito trap &#8211; works indoors and outdoors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This trap attracts much more,&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>like your blood<\/strong>&nbsp;. Just place them in a few places, for example on the terrace or even in the apartment. Believe me, mosquitoes cannot resist this \u201cgoodie\u201d, but they will not get out of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We need:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3 dl water \u2013 about 1 cup<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bc cup brown sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1\/4 teaspoon dry yeast (can also be fresh)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">transparent two liter pet bottle<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to do it:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tojenapad.dobrenoviny.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/sugar-1514247_1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-204710\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Halve the bottle.&nbsp;<strong>Add the brown sugar to the warm water and stir until dissolved<\/strong>&nbsp;. Allow the sweet solution to cool and then pour it into the bottom of the bottle. Add the yeast, which does not need to be stirred. Yeast produces carbon dioxide, which is very attractive to mosquitoes. Place the top half of the bottle upside down on the bottom half. If they don&#8217;t stick together, tape them together with masking tape. Wrap the bottom of the bottle with something black&nbsp;<strong>,<\/strong>&nbsp;or just dye it black. The lid remains free. The trick is that mosquitoes like to hide in dark places, especially where they can smell carbon dioxide. I make it a habit to divide the mixture into several bottles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The elixir of life for your plants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We need:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">50g fresh yeast<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 liter of warm water<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 tablespoon sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Procedure:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stir and let sit for 1 day. Then dilute 1:5 (1 part nutrient, 5 parts water) and pour half a liter of the mixture over each bush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you don&#8217;t have fresh yeast, you can also make the mixture with 1 teaspoon of dry yeast. This amount of fertilizer is enough for 10 plants. The roots of the plants are nourished throughout the season after this life starter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Great help for bees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honey bees become very tired while collecting pollen and then need more vitality to return to the hive.
